The MX-5 is a car that can be driven on almost any track with almost the same set up.
Setup files are divided by ARB stiffness, so you can choose the one that seems to match and run it (see below for the criteria for choosing).
ARB Understanding:
This is the most important setting element of the car.
There are three options for the front and two for the rear.
The softer the front, the more it tends to oversteer, and the harder the front, the more it tends to understeer.
In this car, the harder setting is more stable when focusing on low speed turns, while the softer setting turns better in high speed turns.
The rear is available in Unhooked and OEM, but the OEM is generally used most of the time.
Some more setups tips:
/Shift Aid
Auto Blip reduces shift lock.
/Shift Point
Optimal Shift Point : 7400 RPM (dash rev lights will flash)
Rev Limiter : 7500 RPM
Basically, higher RPMs are faster.
/Fuel amount
20 liters/5.3 gal should be sufficient for the length of a normal Adv.MX-5 race (30 minutes).
_16L to be used for PCC Races
/Dampers
Frankly, I don't see much difference, but it can be used as a fine-tuning of the steer balance.
/Ride height and Cross weight
Front ride height is basically the lowest.
Botming rarely causes damage in this car.
Rear ride height is also basically the lowest, but can be raised if you want further rotation at high speed turns.
Cross weight can also sometimes be an effective setting.
On circuits such as Road Atlanta or CTMP, where the car often turns in one direction, adding 0.5~1.5% cross weight will help the car to rotate more and distribute the load more.
The abbreviation for these are
eR = Esports Race
eQ = Esports Qualifying
sR = Safe Race
sQ = Safe Qualifying
